What data does Crypto Price Watch collect?

Crypto Price Watch does not collect, transmit, sell, or store any personal or browsing data on any server. The extension has no backend of its own.

What is stored, and where?

Your coin watchlist and theme preference are stored locally on your device using the browser storage.local API. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.

Third-party services

The extension fetches public, non-personalized market data (coin prices, 24h change, historical charts) directly from the CoinGecko public API. When you search for a coin, your search query is sent to CoinGecko to retrieve matching results. No account identifiers, browsing history, or personal information is sent with these requests.

Permissions used

• storage — to save your watchlist and theme locally.
• alarms — to periodically refresh the toolbar badge with the latest price change.
• host permission for api.coingecko.com — to fetch public market data.
